Our Story

Mariet Foundation is a Civil Society Organization (CSO) working to improve the lives of women and children impacted by economic hardships, social vices, and other causes of vulnerabilities.

As one of the Non-Governmental Organizations (NGOs) in Nigeria, we focus on improving lives in both rural and urban communities. Our programs and interventions ensure sustainability. Thus, our beneficiaries become empowered and strengthened to overcome future challenges and equally pursue their dreams.

Our inclusive approach enables us to reach out to marginalized and less-privileged groups. Thus, eradicating discrimination and bridging the gender gap in communities so women can live free and purposefully.

To achieve our vision and mission statements, we outsource resources and support from individuals, organizations, agencies, government, and enterprises. We deliver services to beneficiaries via a needs-based approach to ensure that available resources are used to respond to most critical cases.

The Founder

Mrs. Olayinka Kumapayi, the Founder and Executive Director of Mariet Foundation, is a graduate of the University of Ibadan with an MSc in Agricultural Economics. Also, she holds an MBA.

A former banker with 23 years experience and a fellow of the Chartered Institute of Loan and Risk Management of Nigeria.

She's passionate about empowering and coaching less-privileged teenage girls and young women. This informs why she founded Mariet Foundation to help women and children develop skills and live sustainably.
